The more we get together

There are some people out there who are able to earn enough money by writing online articles that they don’t need to have a “regular” job. This type of people are called freelance writers, and they typically work independently from home, however some of them have decided to form what are known as coworking communities.

Coworking is a method of employment in which people who work in similar independent jobs actually decide to work with each other in a shared office space. Although each worker is working independently, and possibly with different employers, they all share the same office space. It may seem like a strange way to work to many people who currently work in offices and want nothing more then to get away. However, there are many advantages to working independently but with others in the same office.

One such advantage of working with others in an office is the creative energy that you share with one another. For freelancers, working on writing articles all day long can really get mind numbing if you are just sitting at home doing one right after the next. However, if you can be surrounded by people who are doing the same thing as you, you are able to share your creative ideas with others and they with you.
If the creative idea sharing is not enough for you, then you will probably appreciate the added productivity that you will likely gain from working alongside others. Although no one in the office can make you work a certain amount, they can certainly help encourage you to stick to your goals. This is because you will be less likely to procrastinate.

Another way to use coworking to increase your productivity and possibly your earnings is the networking opportunities that will be present to you when you have others in the same field of work surrounding you. It may be hard to get professional networking opportunities when you are working at home, but in the office it is all around you.

Despite the fact that we may not realize it, there is a basic human need to work alongside others. It gives us a sense of purpose and meaning. Working from home will leave this need unfulfilled.

The final important reason why all freelancers should consider coworking is the support that you get from your co workers. You will find that it really a community in which everyone wants everyone else to succeed.
