New: simpeler, better, cooler pricemodel

Great news! Thanks to Britney Spears we had to lower our prices! Just kidding ;-)

We changed our pricing from three different memberships into one single membership that is great for everyone.

Coworking is all about sharing anyway, so whether you come in every day or just a couple of times a month, there’s just one new low monthly membership fee:

Only $99 including desk/chair, Starbucks coffee, tea, cocoa, etc.
(in case you were wondering, we still got the day passes @ $20)

Sign up here:
How to apply for membership

We hope you like the price change, and look forward to meeting you!

We are open Mon-Fri 9-5. Find us in downtown Fullerton or call us 24/7 at 1-877-747-3263

Cowork around the world with the Coworking VISA

Today we have launched the Coworking Visa for our members. In addition to the regular membership for our coworking members, now you can use coworkingplaces whenever you are on a (business) trip.

A Coworking Visa allows active members of one space, when traveling, to use another coworking space, for free. Terms vary from space to space, with regard to hours of operation, reservation requirements, etc.

The following locations are now available with the Coworking Visa:

USA
Arizona: Chandler, California: Chico, Orange County (that’s us), Los Angeles, Palo Alto (2), Sacramento, San Francisco (2), Connecticut: Simsbury, Florida: Miami, Orlando, Iowa: Des Moines, Massachusetts: Boston/Cambridge, New York: Brooklyn, New York City, Rochester, North Carolina: Asheville, Ohio: Akron, Columbus, Oregon: Portland (2), Pennsylvania: Philadelphia (2), Rhode Island: Providence, Tennessee: Chattanooga, Texas: Dallas, Houston, Washington: Everett, Redmond, Seattle (3), Tacoma (2)

International
Argentina: Buenos Aires, Canada: Montreal, France: Paris, Italy: Milano (2), Bologna, New Zealand: Wellington, Switzerland: Lausanne, Thailand: Bangkok, The Netherlands: The Hague, Utrecht, United Kingdom: Brighton, Uruguay: Montevideo, Panama: Bocas del Toro

The number in between brackets states the number of locations in that city, available with a Coworking Visa. Check the current list with coworking places that offer coworking visa workspaces before you go.

Pink slip? We’ll help you get started

pink slipAs many companies are affected by the economy, lots of employees have been laid off recently. Many of them are looking for a new job, and others are starting for themselves. If you are starting for yourself read on, because we really want you to be successful and have a couple of ways we can help you get started.

First of all you will get a one month free coworking membership worth $150. This will ensure you have a desk, a place to meet with potential clients and work from a professional space in downtown Fullerton with really nice people.

Secondly we have arranged a 50% discount on insurance that you may need when you start for yourself! Because many get health insurance through their employer, you probably need that and you want to look into liability insurance too.

Thirdly we have arranged a 1 year free webhosting package including a .com domain – so you can publish a website for your business and get potential customers that way.

Then we have arranged a free coaching session with a professional business coach. That way you will become and stay focussed on the results that you want to achieve.

Finally, last month the county opened up a new office literally around the corner from our office, where you can file a fictitious business name statement as needed to file your DBA which you’ll probably want if you start for yourself.

So come on in and bring some proof that shows that you were laid off and you get all of this for free and get started fast!

What else should be for free or at a discount? All comments are welcome!

Coworking Fullerton in the news

Biz Buzz: News from Fullerton’s businesses

City finds new way to help small businesses

The Orange County Register

Branding Personality opens

For nearly two years, Marieke Hensel tried to establish a networking business in her native Holland, but could not get the support of City Hall. So, when she and her husband, Rutger, moved to Orange County, they decided to try and launch their concept for an American audience.

The couple found what they believe is the right location on east Amerige Avenue, one-half block from Harbor Boulevard in the former Saltwater Designs site.

“This is for people who work at home to have some interaction,” Hensel said. “They can come here, network, fax, print, use the Internet and chat over a cup of Starbucks.”

Rutger, a programmer, is also available to help with any problem-solving. The shop is open 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays.
